What I did on my spring vacation…
Sorry I have such a tendency to appear and disappear around here. I’m still working on establishing a regular posting schedule that’s compatible with grad school. My feeling is that it’s probably harder to lose readers in this age of widespread RSS usage (Google Reader and so on) than it used to be, because now it takes more effort to unsubscribe than to keep the subscription and see if it bursts into life months later. I know I still subscribe to beloved short-lived blogs that are probably gone for good (shout out to Wonders Wild and New!), because it’s not like there’s some shelf where I need the space. Maybe that’s just me, though, so if you’ve stopped reading my blog, please let me know.
Anyway, as some of you know, I used to be way into video art/non-narrative shorts/glorified pretentious fanvids, but I hadn’t done that in a while. I felt the urge over spring break, though, and made this:
If you have thoughts about it, let me know in comments. I’d love to tell you all about what I’m trying to do in it, but as a critic I know how distasteful it can be when artists start down that road.
